Does Sunwing offer travel insurance?

Yes, we offer cancellation and medical travel insurance, as well as COVID-19 insurance. Insurance is offered at the time of booking and can be purchased up to 48 hours after your booking is confirmed. If your booking is for travel on board Sunwing Airlines, we are offering new options effective September 19, 2022, including Worry Free travel and insurance plans. For more details, visit our website.

For bookings with travel on other airline carriers or for cruise packages, we offer insurance plans through Manulife based on age, trip duration and cost. Please contact our Sales Centre for insurance details.

I purchased Worry Free (or Manulife Global Travel Insurance + Worry Free) coverage prior to September 19, 2022. Has my coverage changed?

Accepted Answer

No, your Worry Free coverage has not changed. If you purchased Worry Free coverage prior to September 19, 2022 and are travelling from this date onward, you have been automatically upgraded to Worry Free Plus. No action is required on your part. You can still make one change or cancel your travel plans, now up to 3 hours prior to your scheduled departure for any reason, except for no shows or denied boarding.
