This Dominican Republic oasis is a quintessential beach escape and the beautiful sands of Saona Island just off the coast have been the subject of many a screensaver. Make sure to visit the desert island for yourself next time you’re in paradise!

Riviera Maya in Mexico

Photos don’t do the beauty of Riviera Maya justice – but they come pretty close! From the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum overlooking the Caribbean Sea to the mystical cenotes of Hoyo Azul and San Actun hidden within the jungle and the pristine shores of nearby Playa Mujeres, there’s no shortage of picturesque landscapes to choose from in Riviera Maya.

Havana in Cuba

Classic American cars, colourful colonial architecture and a picturesque waterfront promenade. Need we say more? If you haven’t already, you’ll want to add Havana in Cuba to your destination bucket list. Photos of this screensaver-worthy Caribbean city will have you dreaming about sipping on mojitos, chowing down on ropa vieja and dancing the Mambo in no time.

Shirley Heights in Antigua

The view from Shirley Heights is one of the most spectacular vistas on the entire island of Antigua and has inspired plenty of backgrounds and screensavers. The former military complex is located at an elevation of almost 500 feet and offers 360˚ views of the island’s rolling hills, beautiful beaches, English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour.

Ocho Rios in Jamaica

TLC told us not to go chasing waterfalls – but you’re going to want to go chasing waterfalls next time you’re in Ocho Rios! The area surrounding this Jamaican destination is home to numerous spectacular cascades, including world-famous Dunn’s River Falls and the hidden Blue Hole. Not only are Ocho Rios’ waterfalls popular amongst screensavers, but they’ve also been the setting for several Hollywood flicks.
