Where it all started

When Erika and Jeff first met at Erika’s old work, they were both enchanted by each other’s sparkling blue eyes and charming personalities; she loved his great sense of humour, and he loved her amazing smile. Jeff was incredibly shy, so Erika was the one who took the plunge (at the suggestion of her matchmaker best friend) and asked Jeff out! They spent their first date sharing a bottle of wine, listening to music, and talking for hours getting to know each other – from there the rest was history!

The proposal was “simple and perfect” – Jeff knew that an outrageous and extravagant proposal wouldn’t impress Erika, so he planned a camping trip with his son and some close friends where he planned to propose. In the middle of the camping trip, Jeff took Erika on a quad ride to the top of a mountain, where they spent some time enjoying the view and listening to music. When a meaningful song for the couple came on, Jeff got down on one knee and asked Erika to spend the rest of her life with him – and of course she said yes! The two enjoyed a glass of champagne to celebrate before travelling back to camp to share the exciting news.

Planning the wedding

Erika and Jeff knew right away that they wanted a destination wedding. They wanted a beautiful experience with their family and friends, where they didn’t have to get caught up in the minor details and could leave the planning to the professionals. Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas was the perfect wedding resort for the couple with its stunning scenery and architecture – as a bonus it was a place that Jeff had always wanted to travel to. The couple wanted to get married on the beach, and the Arch of Cabo San Lucas created the perfect backdrop for their ceremony and wedding photos!

Erika wanted to let the location be the decoration and kept the decor clean and simple with a blush pink colour scheme. The beautiful beach setting spoke for itself, and all eyes were on Erika as she floated down the aisle in a fitted backless lace dress. Erika and Jeff were thrilled with their planner, who helped make every detail perfect and allowed them to focus on what was truly important – making memories with their family and friends on their special day.
