Mix and mingle on a rooftop at Breathless Montego Bay Resort & Spa by AMR Collection

Head up to the Altitude Rooftop Bar, the only one of its kind in Montego Bay, to sip on bottomless cocktails at the swim-up bar, soak in 360˚ views of the picturesque coast and mix and mingle with fellow sun-seekers. Looking for a bit more of a party atmosphere? Head to the Freestyle Swim-Up Bar in the entertainment zone with a live DJ.
Grab mocktails for the kids at Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa
Swim-up bars aren’t just for adults! Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa in Saint Lucia features its very own kids swim-up counter serving specially made ‘Kiddy Kocktails’ right next to the beach. Younger guests can choose from delicious concoctions like the Sponge Bob with lime juice, sprite and simple syrup; the Coco, an orange and mango pina colada; and the Christmas at CBay, a pina colada with a strawberry swirl. There are grown-up drinks on the other side of the newly remodelled bar for the parents as well.
Sip on Bahama Mamas above the ocean at Riu Palace Paradise Island
You’ll never want to leave the infinity pool with a swim-up bar at Riu Palace Paradise Island in Nassau. The adults only resort offers unbelievable views of the Caribbean Sea from its prime perch above Cabbage Beach, where the edge of the infinity pool seems to blend right into the coast. Wade over to the Soca Swim-Up Bar and grab a Bahama Mama, a famous local cocktail made with coconut rum, orange and pineapple juices, and grenadine. There are even submerged tables to hold your drink as you do a few laps.

“On the rocks” takes on a whole new meaning at the entertainment-themed Planet Hollywood Cancun! The Blue Lagoon Lazy River Grotto Bar is hidden within a cave along the resort’s winding lazy river, with a manmade waterfall and mystical ambiance. Pull up to the counter on an inner tube as you float along the lazy river or wade in from the steps to grab your favourite bevvy. Enjoy classic cocktails like a mojito or tequila sunrise, and unique concoctions like a Caribbean Cool or Fluffy Mongoose for something a bit more unexpected.
Bask on a private island at Couples Tower Isle
A resort with its own private island is cool enough, but a private island with its own swim-up bar like the one at Couples Tower Isle is even more impressive. This couples-only retreat in Jamaica is home to a secluded island just a few hundred metres off the main beach, accessible via a quick boat ride. Once you get to the au naturel island, you can grab a drink from the plunge pool’s swim-up bar before kicking back under a cabana and working on your tan. The main pool’s swim-up bar is pretty spectacular as well, with gorgeous views of the white-sand beach and the island.
