Go chasing waterfalls in Jamaica

Expert: Shanna, Montego Bay Representative

Climbing up the world-famous cascades of Dunn’s River Falls is a must for any visit to the island of Jamaica. At over 180 feet, the breathtaking waterfall falls are located just outside of Ocho Rios and form a natural staircase that you can climb up with the assistance of an expert guide and your fellow climbers. The Cool Running Cruise is a great way to explore the falls; plus, you’ll get to snorkel above a colourful coral reef and enjoy a reggae dance party on board the catamaran with an open bar.

Discover a desert island in the Dominican Republic

Expert: Frank, Punta Cana Product Supervisor

Pristine white-sand shores, sparkling turquoise waters and lush palm trees await on Saona Island. Located just off the main coast of the Dominican Republic, you can admire the surrounding coast as you sail on a catamaran or zoom across the waters on a speedboat towards Saona Island. When you’re on the island, you can spend the day lounging on the shores of a Sunwing-exclusive beach club. You can snorkel alongside exotic fish in the crystal-clear waters, learn how to dance the merengue and enjoy a delicious lunch on the beach.

Spend the day at a magical eco-park in Riviera Maya

Expert: Jorge, Cancun Representative Supervisor

Nestled within the lush jungles of Riviera Maya is the sprawling Xcaret Park, a famous eco-park that’s home to over 50 different attractions. The park is a must-visit for any vacation in the Cancun area! You can swim through mystical caves in an underground river, learn about sea turtles in a protected wildlife sanctuary, trek through mysterious grottoes to a hidden Mayan village and learn about ancient history at the park’s Mayan ruins. Little ones will have a blast at Children’s World, where they can zoom down water slides and swim in the calm waters of a Mayan cenote.

Embrace the local culture in Havana

Expert: Alejandro, Cuba Country Director

Check a UNESCO World Heritage Site off your list when you plan an excursion to Havana. The capital city of Cuba is just a drive away from some of Varadero’s most popular beach resorts, so you can explore the city on a day excursion or book an overnight stay. Soak in the sights and sounds of historic Old Havana as you tour popular landmarks like Morro Castle, Plaza Vieja, the National Capitol Building and more. Make sure to stop by La Bodeguita del Medio, one of Ernest Hemingway’s favourite restaurants, for a refreshing Cuban mojito.
