Was this your first time travelling with Sunwing? How was your experience?

JL: This was not my first time flying with Sunwing and definitely not my last! I have another trip coming up with Sunwing for my destination wedding. Travelling can be a stressful process but everything was so smooth with Sunwing!

PdB: I love travelling with Sunwing; the flight was comfortable and direct so no need for a layover and the staff were all amazing.

SB: This was my first time flying with Sunwing and it went SO smoothly! No delays, no lost luggage and such kind staff – in fact, I’ve already booked another trip with Sunwing. I loved it!

We heard you stayed in a beautiful room at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa – what was your favourite thing about it?

PdB: The room was really stunning and it was probably the most outstanding I’ve ever stayed in! I really liked having a private pool area to spend quality time with my friends.

JL: The private pool that was included in our room was to die for. Every morning I would wake up with a fresh dip in the pool and it felt sooo refreshing!

The girls stayed in the Superior Junior Suite Private Pool Ocean View, a stunning suite equipped with all the luxuries you would expect from an all inclusive resort like a stocked mini-bar, hydromassage tub and a separate living area. Plus, a sparkling infinity pool overlooking the ocean and comfy lounge furniture on the patio to soak in the breathtaking Jamaican sunsets!

Based on your experience, what does your perfect day at the resort look like?

JL: Start off at the buffet for breakfast, then grab a coffee, head to the pool to soak up the sun and enjoy the sunset at the beach! Oh, and end the night off with some dancing.

SB: We woke up around 9:00 a.m. and went for breakfast and ate a ton of good food – that’s what the all inclusive experience is all about! We would lounge by the pool and have a few drinks, listen to music and even went to a poolside dance class.

People need to know – what is something travellers need to see or try at the resort?

SB: GET THE SOFT SERVE ICE CREAM AT THE SPORTS BAR! I literally dream about that ice cream every day – it was so good!

JL: Definitely check out the beach, which is absolutely beautiful! There are paddle boards and snorkelling offered at the beach so you can cool off in style.

PdB: Make sure to explore the entire resort and find your favourite spots. Mine include the spa, the many beaches and fabulous dining venues.

With many different dining options available at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, tell us – did you have a favourite restaurant or meal? What about finding options that appeal to everyone?

JL: My favourite restaurant was the Italian restaurant, Portofino. We went for dinner a couple of nights and each time I wanted to try something new. But the gnocchi, oh the gnocchi, it was my favourite… I would highly recommend!

PdB: I loved the Jamaican restaurant, Xaymaica, with their amazing Jamaican patties and the delicious, soft coco bread.

SB: Jerk chicken for lunch every day was a must! The jerk hut is right beside the pool which is super convenient. We also went to cute dinners each night and booked reservations in advance to ensure we secured our spot!

There’s no shortage of dining options at this resort! From international dishes at buffet restaurants to Italian classics, local specialties and some of the freshest seafood you’ve ever had, you’ll find a new favourite every night. Plus, there are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options so no one gets left out of the deliciousness!

Was there a moment from your stay that really stands out to you? What did you love most?!

JL: I absolutely fell in love with the crystal-blue waters and stunning beaches in Jamaica.

PdB: We had the chance to enjoy a floating breakfast in the pool – it was truly magical!

SB: Probably the spa! Going with the girls to get a massage, enjoy a floating breakfast in the pool and relax in the hot tub was just INCREDIBLE – it honestly felt like a movie! I have never felt that at peace and relaxed ever! The staff were incredibly kind and they even had a cute little smoothie/juice bar!

With everything you need for a truly relaxing getaway like hydrotherapy, world-class massages, body treatments and more, it really is the best way to do paradise. Plus, you can’t beat a healthy breakfast in the pool, mimosas optional but absolutely encouraged!

What’s the best advice you can give to someone staying at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa – or any all inclusive resort?

JL: Do your best to try out all the restaurants and different types of food, and don't be afraid to explore the entire resort.

PdB: I’d recommend some spray conditioner to untangle your hair after a swim, tinted sunscreen for your face and comfy clothes.

SB: Soak it all in and eat a ton of food – it’s all included so don’t hold back! I ate so much ice cream and I do NOT regret it for a single second. Also, make sure to ask the staff which restaurant is their fave! Get recommendations for meals, too!

It sounds like you had a fantastic time! Who would you bring on your next getaway with Sunwing?

JL: Definitely my fiancé! Nothing is more romantic than an all inclusive vacation with Sunwing!

SB: The same girls or my girlfriends! Girls trips just hit different and I am so happy to be able to travel with my friends in my 20s. These memories will last a lifetime!

PdB: I would like to go back with my partner or my family. The resort has something for guests of all ages so there’s never a dull moment!

T: I’d have to say the service, as well as their overall attention to detail is what made my experience so great. The food was some of the best I’ve had while staying at an all inclusive resort, and the rooms were spacious and modern with a great view of the ocean right from my balcony, so that was a great perk! The variety of daily activities were also quite unique – I joined a rum tasting class hosted by the entertainment group as well as a paddle board yoga session, both things I had never done before!
