Let’s start at the top, or rather the northern shores of Cuba and the striking destination of Cayo Santa Maria. With spectacular ocean views, swaying palms and over 20km of beach, finding the perfect place to say “I do” can be tough, especially with a multitude of resorts lining the shores, but that’s why you’ve got us! As Cuba’s fourth-largest city, it’s got everything Canadians love about the island, from vintage Chevys cruising past plazas a la Havana to stunning beaches along the northern shores that give Varadero a run for its money – we call ‘em like we see ‘em. While it might share some aesthetic characteristics, Holguin has a feeling all its own that makes it one of our faves for tying the knot in the tropics. For a relaxed wedding week, look no further than Playa Costa Verde, a charming all inclusive resort where you can enjoy everything great about the island without compromising on the wedding you want.
Natural beauty to inspire picture-perfect beach weddings
Rounding out our greatest hits is the one, the only, Cayo Coco! The beauty of this island is something that needs to be seen in person, or should we say wed? Don’t believe us, what about Ernest Hemingway? Cayo Coco is said to have inspired some of his most popular works, so why shouldn’t it inspire your destination wedding??
