College Groups with or without chaperones are NOT allowed at any of our properties.

We will allow Student Groups of any ages that meet the below criteria:
• A parent or legal guardian over 30 years of age is required to stay in each room.
• Students must travel and share a room with a parent/legal guardian. (No exceptions)
• Proof of age required. All students will be required to provide their valid passports upon check-in.
• Alcohol will be served to students over 18 years of age and older only.
• Legal drinking age in Mexico and the Dominican Republic is 18. We might ask for an I.D. at any time. Under-age drinking and providing alcohol to minors is punished by law.
• Introducing alcohol to the premises or taking it out of the premises is not allowed.
• Personal sound devices of any kind (including Bluetooth speakers) may not be used in the rooms, building, or at the pool area; you will only be allowed to use them with headphones. Remember, there are other guests in the property that do not wish to be disturbed by loud music.
• A credit card will be required upon check-in as a guarantee in the event of damages to the property.
• Guests will be financially and legally responsible for all damages and disruptions caused in the property.
• The hotel can and will suspend any or all of its services to guests who, in the hotel’s opinion, display or enact improper conduct offensive and/or unacceptable and/or dangerous to others and/or themselves.

• Effective February 1st 2026, the Environmental Tax currently ranges from approximately $2.00 US to $9.00 US dollars per person per night. Payable locally directly to the hotel upon check in. Rates are subject to change.
• Please be advised effective immediately until July 12,2026 the AVA Resort Cancun in Mexico, will be undergoing enhancements to the Spa and Plaza MX facilities. The Plaza MX will be temporarily closed; however, guest will continue to have access to the following: • Copal Buffet: Open for breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. • Veranda (A la Carte): Open for breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. During this period the Spa experience will be hosted outdoors, offering guests a unique, tropical touch. • Al Fresco Massages: Treatments will be seamlessly relocated to the beautiful outdoor cabanas and Balinese beds, available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. • Menu Adjustments: We will exclusively feature our signature 50-minute and 80-minute massages during this period. The hotel ensures that every effort will be made to minimize any visual or noise impact throughout the maintenance period. All other resort services and amenities will remain fully operational.
