On Mexico's stunning Pacific coast, Acapulco is a popular beach destination for locals and tourists alike. Set between two picturesque bays, the Puerto Marques and Santa Lucia, visitors can admire stunning views and panoramas over the Pacific Ocean with the majestic Sierra Madre del Sur mountain range in the background. While days are easily spent relaxing on golden sand beaches, you'll surely be rewarded with a trek to one of Acapulco's nearby eco-destinations where lagoons, jungles and estuaries let you get close to nature. Another way to get the blood pumping is through a sport fishing tour in Acapulco's waters which are rich in Pacific sailfish year-round. Excellent al fresco restaurants dot the beach, where you can enjoy delicious cuisines while admiring the view of the bay. A popular activity before the sun sets is to head to La quebrada cliffs t watch professional divers take the plunge. The fun doesn't stop after hours, when Acapulco's vibrant nightlife scene takes over with dancing and live music in a carnival-like atmosphere.
