Experience Dominican Republic

Overview
  • Kick back and relax on some of the world’s most beautiful beaches
  • Tee off at one of the island’s award-winning golf courses
  • Discover the island’s lush countryside on an ATV or horseback riding excursion

One of the most popular beach destinations in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic is the perfect choice for vacationers seeking the ultimate tropical getaway. Soak up the sun on the pristine white-sand beaches of Punta Cana, home to world-famous Bavaro Beach; or head to the golden-sand shores of Cabarete to try out water sports like kitesurfing and kite boarding. Soak in the island’s history with a visit to the capital city of Santo Domingo, the oldest city in the Americas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or explore the 19th century architecture of downtown Puerto Plata. Golfers can tee off on championship courses in La Romana, including the celebrity-favourite Pete Dye courses at Casa De Campo; while adventure-seekers head out on an ATV, river rafting or ziplining excursion. Make sure to pick up some of the island’s famous coffee and rum before you leave!
