Students / Spring Break Groups Policy

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts offers a family-oriented experience; therefore, the following policy has been implemented for Student and Youth Groups. This policy applies to all Iberostar properties throughout the year. Student and youth groups are considered by the hotel as any guests between the ages of 16 and 23 traveling together.
- Requests for student and youth groups will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require prior approval from the hotel before being confirmed.
- The minimum age to check in at the hotels is 18 years old.
- Each room must have a parent or chaperone who is at least 25 years old to complete the check-in process. Adults accompanying the group are responsible for the students’ behavior.
- In the event that any guest behaves inappropriately, disrespects hotel staff and/or other guests, or causes physical damage to the property, Hotel Management reserves the right to expel the guest without a refund or reimbursement for the remaining nights. Additionally, the guest will be responsible for covering the cost of any physical damages caused to the property, staff, and/or other guests.
- Access to the hotel nightclub is granted only to guests who are 18 years of age or older.
- The legal drinking age in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic is 18. Alcoholic beverages are available to all guests aged 18 and over.

Additionally, individual bookings and student groups will be subject to the following conditions:
- Individual bookings and student groups must leave a refundable deposit of 200 USD per room at check-in to cover any charges, damages, unpaid expenses, losses, or fines incurred or caused by the guests during their stay. If damages exceed the 200 USD deposit per room, the full value of the damages will be charged to the guest’s room and must be paid upon check-out. If no damages occur, the deposit will be refunded to the guest.
- Policy for Minors: All guests under the age of 18 will be issued a wristband in a clearly identifiable color. In the event of damage, tampering, or misuse of this wristband, the minor’s legal guardian will be required to pay a penalty of 450 USD or its equivalent in local currency at the current exchange rate. Hotel Management reserves the right to expel any guest who violates or fails to comply with Iberostar Hotels & Resorts policies, without refund or compensation for unused nights, and may also contact local authorities if deemed necessary.

SPRING BREAK POLICY
In order to maintain a family-friendly environment, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts does not accept any individuals or groups associated with Spring Break (whether group or individual bookings) at any property and at any time of the year. Spring Break vacations are defined as those taken by individuals from high school through college age who book together, whether as individual or group reservations. Groups without parents or chaperones over the age of 25 are not permitted. Iberostar Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to deny check-in to any group or individual identified as being part of a Spring Break group.

Restrictions: The above policy is subject to change without prior notice. Iberostar Hotels & Resorts may also implement additional restrictions based on hotel occupancy levels or seasonality. Furthermore, the hotel chain may impose additional criteria based on the operational limitations of each property.
