SALE OF BREEZES TRELAWNY RESORT COMPLETED

Montego Bay, Jamaica – May 16, 2012

Further to the March 29, 2012 announcement of the impending sale of the Breezes Trelawny Resort & Spa, SuperClubs can today confirm that the transaction has been successfully completed. The purchaser of the property is Blue Diamond Hotels & Resorts, a division of North America’s leading leisure travel company, Sunwing Travel Group.

Distinctively positioned on a powder white sand beach, on the sapphire shores of the Caribbean Sea, the resort is the largest in the parish of Trelawny, situated a short 35 minute drive from the Montego Bay International Airport.

The resort will temporarily close on June 1, 2012, to facilitate an ambitious $40 million renovation, details of which will be revealed shortly. It will reopen to guests as a luxurious 4 star+ quality resort, on November 1, 2012, under the new name of “Memories White Sands Beach Resort & Spa”.

This purchase is another sign of the importance of the island of Jamaica to the Sunwing Travel Group. Volumes to the island from Canada from its two leading tour operating companies (Sunwing Vacations and Signature Vacations) have increased rapidly in each of the last three years. The addition in March of Sunwing Airlines flights from St. John’s, Newfoundland, took to twelve the number of Canadian cities, coast to coast, from which Sunwing offers direct service to Montego Bay. Sunwing Airlines will also start year-round flights from Cincinnati, OH and seasonal flights from Nashville, TN this month on behalf of Vacation Express, the group’s US-based Tour Operator.
