| How to use our unique rating system |
| Each hotel is rated using a scale of 1 to 5 stars in the six areas deemed most important by both our
Travel Specialists and vacationers. See the chart above, as an example. |

| Accommodation |
| This refers to the overall comfort, attractiveness, and amenities
of the resort. |
|
| Food & Beverage |
This evaluates two different areas: the variety, as well as, the
number of food and beverage outlets and facilities in the resort. |
|
| Activities & Entertainment |
This rates daytime beach and pool activities, water sports and
nighttime entertainment. |
|
| Beach |
The overall attractiveness of the beach, including both surf and
sand. Vacationers’ preferences may vary from small, secluded
beaches to long, expansive ones. |
|
| Pool |
| The size, attractiveness and number of pools available. |
|
| Spa & Beauty |
| This referes to the quality and range of the services provided, as
well as the setting. |

Naturally, five stars is tops! But individual tastes vary, so our ratings are only a general guideline for assessment. Standards
may also vary slightly from one country to another. Specific details can be found on the individual hotel pages. |
