Explore the ancient Maya city of Coba and climb the tallest pyramid in the state.
Your encounter with the Mayan culture starts with a historical journey to the 1,500 year-old ancestral city of Cobá, an archaeological site hidden deep inside the jungle of the south-eastern Yucatan Peninsula. You will have the chance to climb the Nohoch Muul temple (the tallest pyramid in the state) to admire the pristine beauty and immeasurable vastness of the surrounding sub-tropical rainforest. Your journey then leads you to an authentic Mayan village, a self-sufficient Mayan community located next to an integral part of the region's lagoon system, where you can walk through the village, explore the community's forest, and learn the mysteries of their local fauna and flora.
Your unforgettable off-the-beaten-track adventure tour then begins with an exciting zip-line ride, which takes you flying over an incredibly beautiful cenote. Later enjoy a refreshing swim before rappelling down into anoter cenote, then paddle around a tranquil lagoon. To top it all off you will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared by the women of this Maya community.
