Founded by Abe Issa, “the founder of modern Jamaica tourism” the resort chain we now know as Couples was originated as the first all-inclusive resort in Jamaica in 1978. Couples today see themselves as a boutique collection of hotels, each on a prime stretch of beach. They are, of course, for “couples only.”
