LIST OF WEDDING LEGAL REQUIREMENTS 2013
In order to get legally married in Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana, there are a few requirements you need.
Bride, Groom must arrive to the hotel 3 working days prior to the wedding day (Saturdays, Sundays & Dominican Holidays do not count, Bride & Groom should sent the documentation 30 days prior to wedding date.
The Resorts reserves the right to celebrate the wedding if the legal documents are incorrect and not accepted by the Judge due to not following the correct procedures to arrange the legal requirements.
Requirements for Civil Weddings:
* Bride, Groom & Witnesses must arrive at the hotel three business days prior to the wedding day (Saturdays, Sundays & Dominican Holidays do not count).
• Photocopy of the passports of the bride, groom and witnesses.
• Bride and Groom copy of original birth certificate
• Single Status Affidavit, duly notarized
• Apostille or legalization of all paperwork
• Divorce Decree (if applicable)
• If previously married please submit 2 copies of divorce decree or death certificate. There is a mandatory period for women of 10 months before remarrying
These documents must be translated into Spanish and legalized by the Dominican Consulate before arriving to the Dominican Republic
Documents should be translated and legalized no more than 30 days prior the wedding date and it is the couple’s responsibility to have all the required documentation before the wedding date
Being the Judge an outside service provided by the Dominican Government, the hotel can no bet held responsible for any delay or alteration.

Documents needed for the Civil Ceremony:
• Original and two copies of the Birht Certificates of the bride and groom, with a validity of no longer than two months.
• Both passports; 2 copies of the main page.
• Original and 2 copies of the Affidavit or Declaration of Marital status.
• Original and 2 copies of a Divorce Decree or a Declaration of Death (if applicable. In both cases a minimum period of 10 months must have passed, prior to a new marital union.
• Photocopies of the passports or identification of the witnesses.
Important Notes:
• The Certificates of birth, Affidavits of marital status and Decrees of divorce and Death certificates (if applicable), must be duly legalized and translated through the Honorary Consulate of the Dominican Republic in the bride and groom's country of origin, prior to arrival.
• The required documentation is subject to changes according to the Dominican law.

• You will be charged $10.00 USD supplement per every additional wedding guest, if they are staying in the complex.
• The confirmation of the wedding date depends on the judge's agenda and that there is a chance of change, if necessary. The wedding date and time are also subject to weather conditions.
• The ceremony to be held in Spanish is a legal requirement. An interpreter will be provided if required.
• The Certificate of Marriage is delivered within 6-8 weeks after the couple's departure. This process is left to the discretion of the Judge of Peace.
