For passengers under the age of 18 travelling with an accompanying adult, who is not the minor's parent or legal guardian, a PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT RELEASE FORM (PDF) that authorizes the minor's travel and further authorizes medical treatment in case of an emergency must be delivered to a Norwegian Cruise Line representative at the pier during check-in. Failure to produce this letter at embarkation may result in boarding being denied, with no refund of cruise fare provided. Note: Two people under the age of 21 may travel together in the same stateroom if they are a married couple and provide proof of marriage to an Norwegian Cruise Line representative at the pier before embarkation. Guests must be at least 18 years of age to gamble in Norwegian Cruise Line casinos.

    Policies
    Alcohol
Please note that with the exception of wine and champagne, all guests are prohibited from bringing alcohol on board our ships. If you purchase any alcohol at one of the Norwegian Cruise Lines ports-of-call or in our shops on board, Norwegian Cruise Line will safely store your purchase(s) and on the final night of the cruise, this purchase will be available for pick up in a designated area. Passengers must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol. Norwegian Cruise Line permits young adults to purchase and personally consume wine and beer only while on board and with the consent of an accompanying parent. Authorization will be given only when the accompanying parent completes the Young Adult Alcoholic Beverage Waiver form. This form can be obtained and completed at the Guest Services Desk upon embarkation of the vessel.

    Wine & Champagne Policy
Guests are allowed to bring wine or champagne on board. These will be subject to a $15 corkage fee regardless of size. Wines that are not featured on Norwegian Cruise Line's wine lists are subject to the corkage fee, including wine sent directly to the ship by Travel Agents, friends, family, another retail source, etc. The bottle will have a sticker or stamp placed on it showing that the fee was paid, and that the guest will be allowed to have the product on board. This fee will be charged to guests on-board accounts. Wines that come in boxes are not allowed on board.

    Smoking
All public areas throughout Norwegian Cruise Line ships are smoke free. Smoking has also not been permitted in guests' staterooms as of January 2012. Guests will still be able to smoke cigarettes on stateroom balconies. Ashtrays will be available for use upon request to housekeeping staff. Cigar and pipe smoking is prohibited in staterooms and on balconies. In an effort to diminish the presence of smoke indoors, cigarette smoking will only be permitted in the casino. Smoking will be prohibited in all other interior public venues, including all bars, restaurants, conference rooms, corridors, restrooms, staircases and landings. In addition, the policy allows guests to smoke cigarettes, cigars and pipes in outdoor public guest spaces and open decks, where designated by the appropriate signage. Smoking is not permitted near outdoor venues which serve food, in open spaces such as the jogging track, sport complex, and the children's pool, etc.

    Gratuities
Gratuities are paid locally, on board the ship. Gratuity amounts (approximate cost per person/per day): Adults/children - $12.00 U.S.D.
Children under 2 years do not pay gratuities. Tipping for Casino and Spa staff is optional and payable directly by guests on board as well.

    Attire
Freestyle Cruising® is not too dressy, and not too casual. In fact, you will find that there are really only two types of attire you'll need.

Dress cruise casual anytime during the day, in the buffet, and in most specialty restaurants. For women, it includes summer and casual dresses, skirts, regular or capri pants, shorts, jeans and tops. Khakis, jeans, shorts and casual shirts are fine for men. Swimwear is acceptable at the buffet and outdoor restaurant, but a shirt or a cover-up and footwear are required. Cruise casual is also allowed day and night on embarkation day.

In addition to this, you will also want low-heeled, rubber-soled, comfortable walking shoes for strolling on deck.

Norwegian Cruise Line wants you to be comfortable, but tank tops for men, flip flops, baseball caps, visors, and jeans that are overly faded, or have holes, tears and are worn below the hips, are not permitted in any of the main dining rooms or specialty restaurants. Kids 12 and under are welcome to wear nice shorts in all restaurants. You may want to pack a sweater, too—air conditioning can be chilly. Since all suitcases are collected the night before your return home, don't forget an overnight bag for prescriptions and must-have items.

    Norwegian Cruise Line Latitudes Program
The biggest compliment Norwegian can receive is someone choosing to cruise with them again. And the more you cruise with them, the more rewarding it gets. They reward your loyalty with valuable onboard rewards, priority service, exclusive offers and fun contests. The Latitudes program is divided into four tiers, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum with benefits commensurate with your tier level.

    How to Become a Member?
Once you complete your first Norwegian cruise, you receive complimentary enrollment into the Latitudes program. They make it very easy for their valued guests. More info can be found at www.ncl.com or by calling Latitudes Customer Service at 1.800.343.0098.
