    Laundry / Valet Services
Onboard laundry and dry cleaning service is available for a nominal fee. All laundry is returned within 48 hours, or on the same day with express service. Passenger Services / Purser's Desk
The Passenger Services / Purser's Desk in the ship's lobby is the place to cash traveler's cheques, buy stamps, ask questions, settle your shipboard account and check Lost and Found.

    Special Occasions
Princess will help celebrate birthdays, wedding, honeymoon, anniversary or renewal of vows. Celebration packages must be requested prior to departure.

    Religious Services
Princess provides Catholic, Jewish and Protestant services on the following religious holidays: Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Easter, Christmas, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Passover and Chanukah. In addition, interdenominational services are conducted every Sunday, usually by an officer of the ship.

    Staying in Touch
All staterooms have phones that allow direct ship-to-shore dialing. Guests can also access email through the ship's onboard internet café. Every ship's atrium has Wi-Fi internet access. Guests with international cell phones will enjoy coverage at most ports. Families from Canada may reach onboard guests by dialing 1-900-565-2800 -. Charges will apply to the shoreside party. The 900 service can be used to call or fax the ship.

    Daily Program
The Princess Patter is delivered to the Guest's stateroom each evening to help plan ahead for the next day. It is a valuable guide to the activities on board, including a complete schedule of the day's events, hours for the ship's diverse venues and important announcements. It also contains entertaining articles on ports of call, ScholarShip@Sea program and a great deal more.

    Onboard Purchases
All purchases made onboard are charged to the guests' stateroom account. An itemized statement will be delivered to the stateroom prior to disembarkation. By providing a Credit card in advance, guests are automatically registered for Express Check-out.

    Library
Princess has created a library that includes contemporary and classic titles, as well as books related to specific cruise itineraries. Guests will find subjects on art, history, sports, travel, health and wellness, natural history and reference materials. Onboard libraries have collections of up to 2,000 books.

    Medical Centre
All of Princess' onboard medical centres hold the distinction of being the first and only facilities in the industry to be accredited to internationally recognized healthcare standards and certified to ISO 9001:2000. The onboard medical centres are staffed by full-time British registered Doctors and nurses. In addition to twice daily office hours, they are available 24 hours a day in the event of an emergency. Charges for medical services will be added to the passengers' shipboard account and they will be provided an itemized receipt to submit to their insurance company.
Pregnant women are only allowed to sail if pregnant for 24 weeks or less at time of cruise disembarkation. All pregnant women are required to produce a doctors or midwife's letter stating that the mother and baby are in good health, fit to travel and the pregnancy is not high-risk.

    Princess Access
Princess makes every effort to accommodate passengers with disabilities. They must be notified of wheelchair usage and/or any special needs prior to sailing. Princess has wheelchair accessible staterooms which are on a request basis only. Most public areas are wheelchair accessible.

If you require a mobility device, you must provide your own. You can pre-reserve a wheelchair and have it and other medical equipment delivered to the ship by contacting CareVacations at 1-877-478-7827 or at www.cruiseshipassist.com. When bringing your own wheelchair, we highly recommend collapsible wheelchairs, as the width of the stateroom doors varies. Some Princess ships have areas that are not wheelchair accessible.

Accessibility varies widely on pre- and post-cruise land tours and hotel packages. Not all providers have lift-equipped transportation options and when available, arrangements must be secured in advance. The maximum weight of the wheelchair and the guest cannot exceed 600 lbs on transportation lifts. For pre- or post-cruise land tours, please contact the Access Office at 1-661-284-4521 with questions or concerns. You may also fax your request to the Access Office at 1-661-284-4408.

If you have a Princess Transfer at the start or end of the cruise, be aware that lift-equipped transportation may not be available in your port of embarkation or disembarkation. Arrangements must be secured in advance by contacting the Access Office as soon as possible.

Passengers utilizing mobility devices with batteries are advised that the batteries must be a dry cell type and must be stored and recharged in the stateroom. Mobility devices of any kind, like other items, may not be left outside the stateroom.

Because Princess Cruise is not staffed with specially-trained personnel to assist passengers with physical challenges, they recommend you be accompanied by someone who is physically able to assist you both onboard and on shore if necessary. Travelers with disabilities should check in with the onboard Tour Office to ensure all pre-reserved tours can accommodate their needs. Not all port facilities are accessible for those using mobility devices. Ports of call may be accessed by a variety of methods including, but not limited to, a ramped gangway, series of steps or by tender. In some cases, you may be able to access the tender; however, the shore side facility is not accessible. With your safety and comfort in mind, the decision to permit or prohibit passengers from going ashore will be made on each occasion by the ship's Captain, and the decision is final. Those ports which normally use tenders to access the shore are noted on the itinerary.

In many ports of call, a mechanism known as a "stair climber" is used to assist passengers up and down the gangway. This requires that passengers transfer to a Princess wheelchair which is then connected to the stair climber and operated by the ship's personnel. If you cannot transfer or your personal mobility device cannot be easily disembarked due to size or weight, you may be precluded from going ashore.

If you are traveling with a service animal, please be aware that Princess requires a written notice in advance. Entry regulations vary from port to port, and there are some ports that prohibit the landing of animals altogether. Passengers are advised to consult the local authorities at each port of call prior to departure for the necessary documentation. Princess does not provide food for service animals. The choice of dog litter material is limited and varies by ship and location.

Princess ships are equipped with "All-In-One Kits" including a TTY that can be placed in most passenger cabins. Additionally, all televisions onboard provide closed captioning and most onboard theaters are equipped with assistive listening devices. Electric outlets in most staterooms are limited to one and it is helpful to travel with an extension cord if you are using electrical equipment. Princess is pleased to have available JAWS Professional software with a KOSS-TD/80 headset available on one terminal in each Internet Café on every Princess cruise ship.

Casual sportswear, including shorts, lightweight pants and jogging suits, is the order of the day both at sea and ashore in hotter climates. Due to unpredictable weather, Guests should bring a hat or visor and a collapsible umbrella. Also Guests must ensure they bring proper clothing for visits to religious sites. In addition to this, guests will also want low-heeled, rubber soled shoes for strolling on deck, as well as comfortable walking shoes or sandals to wear.
Princess makes it easy to know what to pack and what to wear when you're dining onboard. There are two designations for dress codes: Smart Casual and Formal.

    Smart Casual Evenings
  • Passenger attire should be in keeping with what would be worn to a nice restaurant at home. Inappropriate dinner wear such as pool or beach attire, shorts, ball caps and casual jeans (with fraying and/or holes), is not permitted in the dining rooms. Shoes must be worn.

  • Formal Evenings
  • Evening gown, cocktail dress, or elegant pant suit for women
  • Tuxedo, dark suit or dinner jacket and slacks for men

  • Princess offers formal wear rental on all cruises; this can be arranged prior to embarkation. Additional information can be found at www.princess.com.
